Responsibilities:
- Conduct power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, voltage drop, harmonic, and arc flash hazard analysis as well as protective device coordination.
- Develop and implement electrical distribution system designs, ensuring they meet safety and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide technical expertise and solutions.
- Perform power quality assessments and troubleshoot power system issues as needed.
- Assist in the development of proposals, feasibility studies, and project reports.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in power systems engineering and actively contribute to the team's knowledge base.
Experience
- 1-5 years of experience in power systems engineering or electrical engineering.
- Strong knowledge of power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, and voltage drop analysis.
- Familiarity with electrical distribution systems and relevant industry standards.
- Proficiency and experience with power system analysis software such as SKM, ETAP, PSS/E, or similar tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with commercial or industrial short circuit, device coordination and arch flash studies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
